Jones'
Prayer Letter
June 2025
Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and for your faithful prayer and financial support of our family. We do not take that lightly and know at times it is a sacrifice to give to missions especially as costs continue to rise across the country.
Becky and the girls had a great trip to Ontario to attend Hayleigh’s graduation. Due to our location, we do not travel out of town all that often, so it was a special time for them. Hayleigh completed the 1-year Bible certificate at FaithWay Baptist College of Canada. She has decided to go back for another year and earn a Diploma of Secretarial studies.
In our last letter we stated that we were planning for a young man to come and work with us for the summer. Unfortunately, that ended up falling through, as he chose another position which we both agreed was better for his stage of life and ministry training.
We are excited that we are just about a month away from attending Beacon Bible Camp! If you have followed our letters for awhile, you probably remember that each summer for the last few years, we have served at this remote, fly-in only camp in northern Saskatchewan. We plan to bring one teen girl to the camp with our family again this year and would ask for prayer for safety for the flights, and God to work in all of our hearts during the 2 weeks of camp.
Finally, we have an important request that we would ask you to please pray with us about. We announced this in a letter directly to our supporters last month and now want to share it with all of you on our prayer update list. We feel the Lord is leading us to change our ministry location. In the summer of 2026, we plan to leave Rankin Inlet, Nunavut and move to Whitehorse, Yukon to assist my father-in-law Steve Donley in his church-plant there. Initially this will be an interim ministry for a year while we seek God’s direction about where He would have us to continue to serve in Canada. To be clear, we are continuing to be missionaries to Canada, and our heart is still toward Indigenous peoples and northern regions, but we feel it is God’s will for us to seek a new field on which to serve. Please pray as well that God would lead another family here to take over this work and continue the Gospel outreach in this community.
Thank you again for your friendship and support over all these years; you are very much appreciated!
In Christ,
The Jones Family
